This is 2019
It’s almost the end of the year, and what a year it’s been! Our photographers have been capturing moment after moment at weddings all over the world; so proud to be able to present ‘This is 2019’, a selection of favourite captures from almost 180 of our members.
It would have been far too difficult to only choose one single capture from an entire season, so all these images are within their top five of the year. Incredibly emotional moments, subtle, quiet moments, laugh-out-loud captures, ‘what on earth is going on there?’ captures, moments of intimacy, love, affection, surreal images, partying-like-it’s-the-best-night-of-your-life images, hugs, iPhones, limbos, eating, sleeping, crying…and so much more – all captured in each photographers’ own unique style.
Whilst we’re on the subject of 2019, we’d also love to say a massive thanks to our photographers, both new and existing, who have supported us, got so involved in our community, and continued to show the world the importance of moments. The work they produce is astonishing, as the record-number of submissions to our Awards has shown. We’ve also loved meeting so many of you at our meetups/parties in Portugal and London this year, too!
Thanks also to everyone who has listened to our Podcast; we’ve absolutely loved interviewing some of the world’s very best wedding photographers; their stories are so interesting, their advice so insightful and valuable, and their openness so massively appreciated.
And finally, we’d love to thank the many brides and grooms who choose This is Reportage to find your own wedding photographer – we know that many of our members have been found through TiR, and we hope that the moments of your weddings have been/will be captured brilliantly.
So, without further ado, here is ‘This is 2019’, a selection of some of the very best documentary wedding photography captures by almost 180 of our members this year:
