About Martin

Martin Ellard is a South Wales documentary wedding photographer based in Swansea.
I’ve been doing this for nearly twenty years, and I still love every single wedding with the same curiosity as my first. I’m all about focussing on real moments, the people you love, and how your day really feels as it’s experienced.
I use a candid, documentary approach that creates story telling images across the whole wedding day. For couples who would love to see how their guests enjoyed the wedding day as much as they did.
Your wedding isn't a photoshoot, my only expectation of my couples is that they are truly themselves and get to experience and love every second of their day.
Although most of the day is candid, I still include family photos and some time for portraits, which is focussed around the couple spending some quality time together, no posing, just genuine moments.
I'm based in Swansea, but cover areas like Pembrokeshire, Cardiff, Bristol, The Cotswolds and beyond.
