Story Awards
Story Award by Franck Boutonnet / Collection Nine
We just revealed the winners of Collection Nine, and, as always, our Story Awards are a huge part of this. Although individual captures should still be awarded and celebrated (hence our Reportage Awards), we think its vital that we also celebrate the skill and artistry of storytelling; of consistent and creative coverage. That’s why we have our Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images all from the same wedding. Here’s a Story Award from Collection Nine by Franck Boutonnet.
Story Award by Sanne De Block / Collection Eight
We have two different Awards here at This is Reportage: Our Reportage Awards, which are for those individual brilliant captures, and our Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images, all from a single wedding – and, as always with us, every capture is taken naturally, without any input from the photographer or posing. True documentary wedding photography at its very best.
Story Award by Cafa Liu / Collection Eight
Our Story Awards are for a series of 15 – 20 images from a single wedding – and, as always with us, are totally natural, un-posed and unscripted moments. Receiving one of these Story Awards is incredibly tough, as a photographer must show consistently world-class creativity, consistency and storytelling; an incredibly difficult feat.
Collection Eight was revealed this week, and just the top 4% of submissions became Story Awards. Collection Nine is open now; members receive 18 Story Award entries per year (as well as 60 Reportage Award entries (for individual captures) per year).

Story Award by Valter Antunes / Collection Seven
Story Awards: One of the things we really wanted to do with This is Reportage was to make it not *only* be about those individual fantastic captures – although celebrating brilliant single moments is still something we love to do (hence our Reportage Awards), we think it’s so important to also recognise and celebrate the skill and artistry of storytelling; of consistent and creative wedding coverage.
That’s why we have our Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images from a single wedding – all of which, as always with us, are natural captures. Winning one of these is incredibly tough, with just the top 5% of submissions becoming Story Awards in Collection Seven (view all of Collection Seven here).

Story Award by Pedro Vilela / Collection One
We don’t only award individual images; we also want to celebrate and showcase the skill of storytelling – of consistent and creative coverage from a wedding. That’s why we have our Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images from a single wedding; photographers who receive a Story Award have demonstrated world-class coverage, capturing moment after moment to an extraordinarily high degree.
