Very excited to announce the first of our five judges for Collection Eight: The brilliant Franck Boutonnet! Hailing from France and taking his inspiring documentary wedding photography all over the world, it’s a real honour for us to have Franck casting his expert eyes over our Reportage Award and Story Award entries for Collection Eight (deadline for submissions: 23:59 GMT on 24th March 2019).

Story Awards: One of the things we really wanted to do with This is Reportage was to make it not *only* be about those individual fantastic captures – although celebrating brilliant single moments is still something we love to do (hence our Reportage Awards), we think it’s so important to also recognise and celebrate the skill and artistry of storytelling; of consistent and creative wedding coverage.
That’s why we have our Story Awards, which are for a series of 15 – 20 images from a single wedding – all of which, as always with us, are natural captures. Winning one of these is incredibly tough, with just the top 5% of submissions becoming Story Awards in Collection Seven (view all of Collection Seven here).

It’s Valentine’s Day, that worldwide celebration of love, and we thought what a great opportunity it would be to show real, unposed captures of romance – no portraits, no set up situations, no photographers telling the couple how to behave or where to look – but real, natural moments of romantic love, captured by some of the world’s very best wedding photographers.
What follows is over 85 of our members showcasing the very best moments of romance from weddings all over the globe: Moments of passion between the bride and groom, first kisses, second-and-third-and-fourth kisses, stolen moments between guests ‘feeling the love’, old love, young love, moments where the emotions just become too much, love on the dancefloor, bum gropes (!), tenderness, joyous outbursts, and everything in between…
