Collection 25 Judges
Time to reveal our judges for our first Awards Collection of 2022! Thanks so much to these five fantastic photographers who will be judging our individual and story award entries for Collection 25 (clockwise, from top-left): Lisa Hu Chen (USA), David Scholes (UK), Catherine Hudson (France), Simone Miglietta (Italy), and Miguel Ponte (Portugal).
It’s a whole new Awards-year here on This is Reportage, and you have the best chance to be on our Top 100 Photographers in the World and Top Storytellers in the World lists for 2022 if you enter the very first Collection. One of the best documentary photographers in the USA, Lisa Hu Chen was 7th in the world on our sister-site for documentary family photography, This is Reportage: Family, in 2021, where she has won 17 Reportage Family Awards. We also interviewed Lisa in episode 66 of our Podcast.
David Scholes is our current Storyteller of the Year here on This is Reportage. As well as that title, he was 2nd in the world overall, and has been the UK #1 photographer for the past two years in a row. You can also listen to Dave on episode 23 of the Podcast.
One of the best photographers in France, Catherine Hudson was recently ranked 71st in the world here on This is Reportage for 2021, with 4 Reportage Awards won in the year. An accomplished family photographer as well, she was also ranked 20th in the world on our sister-site, TiR:F, in 2020.
In our Top 100 photographers worldwide for the past two years in a row (2021 & 2020), Simone Miglietta is one of the best documentary wedding photographers in Italy. He is the winner of 8 Reportage Awards and 3 Story Awards.
One of the best photographers in Portugal, Miguel Ponte has featured in our Top 100 photographers worldwide in both 2019 & 2021, amassing 9 Reportage Awards over that time.
