About Thaddeus
Well hello there. I’m TJ. I photograph weddings, and I live out in Brooklyn, Connecticut. Most of my work is all over Connecticut and the northeast, but this little corner is home.
I grew up in the 80s and 90s, before social media, before everyone felt like they had to post every second of their life. You just left the house, did something, and that was it. I did not realize how much that shaped me until later, but it is a big reason why I shoot the way I do now as a documentary wedding photographer.
I am a huge gamer. It honestly feels like I was born with a controller in my hands. I talk with my hands, I make faces, I react to everything, and I bring energy into a room, but not “look at me” energy. More like “everyone can chill, we are good” energy.
On paper, most wedding days look the same. Same rough timeline, same sections of the day. Once people show up, none of that is actually the same. Every family hits different. Every friend group hits different. That is the stuff I care about. The human side of it.
So yeah, I photograph weddings in a documentary way. I pay attention, I let things happen, and I only step in when it actually helps. What matters most to me is that you get to live your day and are not dragged away from moments that matter, while I’m the one quietly making sure there is proof it all happened.
