About Franklin

I’m Franklin, the photographer behind FBalzan Photography.

Based in Malta and working throughout Europe and beyond, I photograph weddings with a documentary heart and an artistic eye. My approach is centred on genuine human connection: the anticipation, the laughter, the quiet glances and all the beautiful, unscripted moments that make a wedding deeply personal.

My background in photography has taught me that the most meaningful images are rarely forced. I want my couples to feel comfortable, present and free to experience their celebration fully, trusting me to preserve it with sensitivity and intention. Alongside the candid moments, I also love creating refined, imaginative portraits using beautiful light, strong composition and the character of each location.

Over the years, my work has taken me from intimate Mediterranean elopements to vibrant multicultural celebrations and multi-day destination weddings. My photography has received international recognition but what matters most to me is creating photographs that become more meaningful as the years pass.

I care deeply about the people I work with. Every couple has a different story, energy and way of loving, and I take the time to understand what matters to them. My aim is not simply to document how their wedding looked, but to preserve how it felt.
