Hi, my name's Alan, and I’m a wedding photographer based in Cornwall, UK. I’ve been shooting weddings full-time now for the past 6 years or so, and it’s been a whirlwind; I’ve been lucky enough to shoot all over the world, and even luckier to pick up some lovely awards/nods, such as Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars (2014), Top 5 Wedding Photojournalists in the UK (MyMemory), Top 15 Wedding Photographers in the UK (Brides Magazine) and various others. Very lucky! And just very lucky to be able to do what I love for a living.

I specialise in the documentary/reportage aspect of weddings because that’s what I love to capture: The real, unscripted moments. I have no interest in styling someone’s day, or taking them away for hours for portraits. I still shoot some groups (if wanted), and about ten mins of couple-imagery (if my clients want that, of course), but 99% of my coverage is totally un-posed documentary. My passion for this led me to create 'This is Reportage', a world-wide community of photographers celebrating the art and skill of documentary wedding photography. Wedding are all about moments; and capturing these moments is what drives me.
