I did my first paid wedding in 2012, desperately nervous yet excited.
I fell in love - and from that moment it was my dream to be a full time wedding photographer.
It took two years of determination, persistance and dedication but in 2014 I had enough bookings to quit my existing work. Since then I've photographed just over 200 weddings. Initially my "style" varied but I gradually moved more and more towards "reportage" where my input in the proceedings of a wedding became less and less until about 100 weddings ago my "style" became established.
I use short lenses and 2 cameras to enable me to get in close and get photos from the perspective of a "privileged guest". These capture the emotion and reality of the moment.
Yes - I of course still do family and group photos and if the couple want I'll spend time with them alone but never "pose" but simply be with them as they walk around the garden, or chat to each other. All very natural.
