Podcast Episode 100: This is the 100th Special

We’ve reached our 100th episode! Can you believe it? It feels very surreal to me; it honestly only feels like a couple of months ago that it all began. We launched on November 7th 2019, and in just over two years I’m so happy to say we’ve reached this pretty special milestone. We’ve had over 76,000 listens so far, which means that each episode gets listened to over 760 times on average… amazing!

I’m so thrilled that the photographers I talk to each week get to share their stories, tips and advice with so many people all over the world. Thank you so much for listening!

As this is a special milestone, I thought I’d do a bit of a different episode, and I thought it would be nice to do a kind of ‘montage’ episode, where I’m featuring clips from past episodes. Now, this is in no way a ‘best of’ episode, as there has been far too much great content shared over our all the episodes so far – it would need a 10-hour episode to do one of those – but it is just a selection of some clips that stood out to me, or made me smile, or clips that gave a good sense of what the Podcast is about.

It would have been impossible for me to feature every single photographer that I’ve interviewed so far (see above about needing a 10+ hour episode for that!) but you will hear from over 30 of my guests, including Valter Antunes, Sanne De Block, Rowena Meadows, Adam Johnson, Tyler Wirken, Rocio Vega, Yves Schepers, Gretchen Yost, Pedro Vilela, Lisa Hu Chen, David Scholes, Julia Rose-Greim, Franck Boutonnet, Dominique and Liam Shaw, Katrin Küllenberg, Ross Harvey, Menino Conhece Menina, Sam Docker, and many more…

If you’re a regular listener, hopefully you’ll enjoy re-visiting some things you’ve heard before, or perhaps it’ll point you to some episodes that you may have missed – and if you’re brand-new to the Podcast, I hope this episode gives a good taster of what you’ve got in store if you want to delve into our back catalogue of episodes.

We’re also celebrating this milestone with a contest, where you can win 1 of 10 This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family memberships – worth £100 each. See below on how you can win.

As always, you can listen on all the usual places: Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, iTunes/Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and below in this post:

Two chances to win 1 of 10 This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family Memberships – worth £100 each!

To celebrate our milestone of reaching 100 episodes, we’re giving away 10 TiR or TiR:F memberships, worth £100 each – if you’re a winner, you can choose which site your membership will be for. We also think it’s important that giveaways like this are *not* just for new members – so this contest is open for existing members too (if you win, we’ll add a year on to your membership). There are two chances to win:

First Chance: Answer this question about the episode: “Who tells a nightmare story about travelling back from a destination wedding?”

You’ll need to listen to this special 100th episode to find out! Simply enter your answer, name and email address below (and don’t worry, you won’t be added to any mailing list or anything like that; we’ll just use your email address to contact you if you’re a winner). Deadline is 23:59 GMT on 20th January 2022. There will be 5 winners chosen via this episode question.

Second Chance: Tag your photographer friends on Instagram

For the second chance to win, simply:

    1. Visit either of our Instagram pages (@thisisreportage or @thisisreportagefamily) and find the post about this 100th episode.
    2. On that post, tag 3 friends in the comments who you think would be interested in joining either This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family – or just friends who you think would love the Podcast. You can tag more than 3 if you’d like, too…!

You can tag your friends on either the @thisisreportage OR @thisisreportagefamily Instagram posts; it doesn’t matter which one. All valid entries will be entered into a random draw, with 5 people then winning either a TiR or TiR:F annual membership (your choice). The contest deadline is 23:59 GMT on 20th January 2022, and winners will be notified, via Instagram, soon after that. Our usual rules of TiR/TiR:F eligibility also still apply. The contest is also in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

Good luck if you’re entering! Remember, you have the best chance to win if you do both the episode question, and the Instagram tagging, as for the two different methods of entering we’re giving away 5 memberships each (10 memberships in total).
