Eight years! It’s hard to believe that This is Reportage has been celebrating documentary wedding photography for that long.
What started as a small idea — to showcase and champion the power of real, unstaged moments — has grown into a worldwide community of storytellers.
Hundreds of thousands of photographs, thousands of Awards, countless stories of connection and creativity; and through it all, one simple ethos has remained – no poses; nothing staged: This is Reportage.
Over the years we’ve seen tears, laughter, quiet pauses, chaos, joy — all the things that make weddings (and life) what they are. But even more inspiring than the images themselves has been the people behind them: our members.
Photographers who believe in honesty over perfection; in story over setup.
As we look back on these eight years, I just want to say thank you — to every photographer who’s been part of this journey. Whether you joined in year one or just last month, TiR wouldn’t be what it is without you: your stories, your images, your generosity, your passion.
Here’s to the next chapter — to new stories, new faces, and more honest, human photography.
