This is Franck Boutonnet – Collection Eight Judge
Very excited to announce the first of our five judges for Collection Eight: The brilliant Franck Boutonnet! Hailing from France and taking his inspiring documentary wedding photography all over the world, it’s a real honour for us to have Franck casting his expert eyes over our Reportage Award and Story Award entries for Collection Eight (deadline for submissions: 23:59 GMT on 24th March 2019).
It’s fair to say that Franck has quite the pedigree when it comes to awards, with his list of accolades being incredibly extensive! These include ranking numerous times within Fearless’ Top 15 Photographers, over 260 awards (and counting!) from the likes of ISPWP, WPJA, WPS and Junebug, as well as frequent listings in various ‘Best Photographers in the World’ lists.
As well as being a great photographer, Franck is also a great speaker/tutor; I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing him talk myself, at the brilliant Nine Dots Gathering in London last year (which is amazing, by the way, definitely recommend going; I’ve been every year – love it!). It’s one thing being a great photographer; it’s another thing entirely to be able to speak well and inspire others – Franck definitely has both skillsets!
Thanks again to Franck for being one of our judges for Collection Eight; we can’t wait to see what he and our other four judges (to be announced soon) choose as winners.
