This is Aase Pouline – Collection Ten Judge

Revealing the third of our five judges for Collection Ten, and we’re very excited to say that it’s the fab Aase Pouline from Sweden! One of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of 2018, Pouline has a really distinctive style to her documentary work; we can’t wait to see what she and our other four judges choose as winners soon…

As well as that incredible nod from Rangefinder, as one of their Rising Stars of 2018, Pouline has also received lots more recognition from within our industry, including being listed by Junebug as one of the Top 10 Best Wedding Photographers in Sweden (2018 & 2019), “Europe’s Best Young Wedding Photographer” Finalist and “Europe’s Best Wedding Photographer” Nominee by Way Up North Awards, Europe 2019, and “New Talent Top 25” by BODAF, Spain 2019.

There’s a real grace about Pouline’s work that we love here at This is Reportage; she’s really nailed a distinctive style – something that is incredibly difficult to do, and yet something that is so, so important. We love this quote from Pouline’s bio, too:

“I’ve never had a big interest in neither dresses nor flowers and still to this day don’t. But being able to tell the stories, experience the love, capture the feelings and not to mention being given the chance to live in a carefully color-coordinated world where the only rain is confetti for a day really caught me.”
